Anyone who know T and me, knows we love to eat and drink! Our list of places to try has long outgrown the number of meals we can consume. Mexico City has so many incredible options from my favorite, street-side mango, to extravagant tasting menus, and everything in between.  We eat everything and often joke about what a blessing that is because, quite honestly, we don’t always know exactly what we ordered (you can thank our bad Spanish and the uncommon-to-us cuts of meat for that!)

T and I just got back from a long weekend in Mazunte, Oaxaca. I imagine you’re going “where?!”

Mazunte is a small beach town on the Pacific coast in the Mexican state of Oaxaca with a population of about 700 poeple. We happened to be the there the first week of June, which is the off season (well like the off-off season) and the population had swelled to maybe 750.

Well, after some unnecessarily long travel (thanks American Airlines) we’ve arrived in Mexico City!

Between catching up on work and unpacking there hasn’t been time to explore much, but we have managed to have two delicious dinners and some great Tlacoyos and tacos. We have a few good street stalls dangerously close by 😉
